If you have a child between the ages of 8 to 12, the chances are one of their friends has a plate in their mouth called an expander. This is a process of widening the upper jaw to allow room for teeth to come through.

Some children have narrow arches and do not have room to accommodate erupting teeth. By making the jaw bigger, it's possible for teeth to fit without having to have any teeth taken out.

Another benefit in allowing all the teeth to come through, it results in a beautiful broad smile that allows your child to smile with confidence.
